Tangent Sight

Opzet of richtmiddel dat tegen de achterkant van de slotverhevenheid gemonteerd wordt; de steun is hiervoor voorzien van een nok die in de slotverhevenheid grijpt en wordt van achter met een schroef aangedraaid. De opzetstang is een korte vierkante ijzeren stang, bovenop is pyramidevormig met groeven door de top; hij kan verticaal heen en weer bewegen. Demonstratie- en of proefmodel.

Entry

Tangent sight to be mounted on to the rear of the vent patch of a gun, the support gripping the vent patch with a notch in a square indentation and secured with a bolt. The sight itself is a short iron bar, which can be moved up and down; the top of the sight is shaped like a pyramid with grooves across.

This tangent sight was found without a catalogue number. The identification was by a process of elimination.
