Short fur coat

anonymous, c. 1935 - c. 1940

This broad-shouldered, straight style was fashionable in the late 1930s. Fox was very popular at the time. At least six entire fox pelts went into this coat, whereas most women had to content themselves with just one fox about their shoulders. To make the wearer seem a little less chunky, the sides of the sleeves are of rayon.
