Ovalen portret van Cornelis Persijn van Ouwendijk (1647-1704), heer van Lagewoert, notaris te Delft

Dit fijn uitgewerkte, op perkament getekende portret staat geheel in de traditie van dergelijk werk door Goltzius en De Gheyn. Pieter van Slingelandt stond hierin apart. In de 17de eeuw beperkte men zich in Nederland bij kleine portretten-in-opdracht vrijwel uitsluitend tot miniaturen in olieverf op koper of goud. De voorgestelde kon onlangs (voor 1995) op grond van het door hemzelf getekende en 1678 gedateerde wapen, geidentificeerd worden als Cornelis Persijn van Ouwendijk (1647-1704), notaris te Delft.

    Ovalen portret van Cornelis Persijn van Ouwendijk (1647-1704), heer van Lagewoert, notaris te Delft. Opgeborgen met het wapen van Cornelis Persijn rechts en het portret links, in ovaal bruine foedraal met scharnier, sluit met twee koperen haakjes. Buitenkant versierd met lijnen. Het portret bevindt zich achter glas en is versierd met een zilveren koord. Het foedraal zit in een blauwe doos met strik in de linker onderhoek en roze fluwele voering.
