Bronzen voorlader op mik. De loop heeft een bloemvormige monding, het middenstuk is rond en het achterste gedeelte achtkantig. De staart is hol voor een houten richtstok; om de staart een rotan bindsel. Aan weerszijden van het zundgat een vierkante knop voor een zundgatdeksel. Vóór het zundgat een ruitvormig ornament met daarop een richtknop, en bij de monding een verhoogde korrel met spleet. De ogen van de mik zijn geheel om de de tappen heen gesmeed, zodat het stuk niet uit de mik kan worden getild.

Entry

Bronze muzzle-loading lantaka on a swivel.

It has a flower-shaped muzzle with a flat surface. The chase is round, the barrel is octagonal from the first reinforcement to the breech. The gun has a tubular hollow cascabel button to fit a wooden tiller; against the breech there is a rattan band around the button. To each side of the vent a square button is placed, on which a vent cover can be secured. In front of the vent a diamond-shaped ornament with a sight button and at the muzzle a groove sight is positioned. The trunnion rings of the bronze yoke are forged around the trunnions, so that the gun cannot be removed from the yoke.

This gun was captured during one of the Boni expeditions. It should carry a mark ‘B’,1J.M. Obreen et al., handwritten inventory list for items 944 to 1431, 1884, manuscript in HNA 476 RMA, inv. no. 1089, no. 1102. which could not be found.
