anonymous, anonymous, c. 1775 - c. 1799

This bowl is decorated with engraved and stamped motifs. The semi-transparent white glaze pooled in the grooves, making the decoration stand out. This free, spontaneous style comes from Korea.

  • Description

    Klokvormige kom van steengoed, bedekt met een wit slib en een groen glazuur. Op de bodem een ingedrukte bloemrozet. De binnen- en buitenwand met stippen. Op de rand een band met een lijndecoratie. Boven de voet en op de voet een band met cirkels. De ingedrukte decoratie is gevuld met wit slib (mishima-techniek). Enkele goudlak reparaties in de rand. Oud label op de onderzijde met 'W704'. Karatsu[?].
