    In een landschap zitten twee kaartspelende mannen ter weerszijden van een tafel. Op de tafel bevinden zich stapeltjes speelkaarten, een brood, een fles, een pijp en een mes. Achter de tafel staat een vrouw tegen een boomstronk geleund. Zij biedt de man aan haar linkerzijde een volle beker aan. Op de grond voor de tafel staan een komfoor met kooltjes, een waterketel en een nap.
