Rechts kanonslot (vuursteenslot) met messing huis en ijzeren slotmechaniek, trekker, haan, pandeksel en staartbout met vleugelmoer. De haan heeft twee stel lippen, die kunnen draaien om een bout met een vleugelmoer: hij is ingericht voor twee vuurstenen, voor het geval er één onbruikbaar werd. Het slot wordt met de staartbout door de hoogste sieraadband gemonteerd. Pan en pandeksel zijn verlengd. De trekker heeft een aftrektouw.

Entry

Right-handed gunlock (flintlock) with a brass box and an iron mechanism, a trigger, cock, pan cover and a tail bolt with a wing nut.

The cock has two sets of jaws, which rotate around a vertical axis with a wing nut: it is ‘double-flinted’ for emergency use. The lock was fastened with the tail bolt going through the base ring. The pan has a priming pan extension. The trigger has a lanyard.

Double-flinted locks were first used by Howard Douglas in the United Kingdom in 1817. This lock by Brignol was adapted for this purpose.
